A little over a week has passed since the most highly anticipated wedding of the year took place. Georgina and Cristiano Ronaldo said "I do" in an intimate ceremony with their children as witnesse, held in the spectacular living room of their home in Portugal — the mansion, valued at 60 million euros, is located in the exclusive area of Quinta da Marinha, in Cascais.
It was an exceptionally meaningful date for the iconic couple, as their wedding took place exactly one year after getting engaged and a decade since their first meeting.
It was back in 2016 when HELLO!'s sister publication, HOLA!, published the first photographs of what would soon become the couple of the moment during a romantic getaway to Disneyland Paris with close friends of the star footballer.
At the time, Georgina was a sales assistant at a Gucci store in the capital; and he was the star player for Real Madrid, winning his fourth Ballon d'Or that very same year.
Now, ten years later, Georgina is known for far more than being the partner of one of the greatest footballers in history. She has built her own empire, taking her name worldwide. Her own reality show, a loungewear brand that perfectly reflects her style and values and a digital community of nearly 80 million followers.
Furthermore, something else has changed in her life and, as she notes on her public social media profile, she is "mom to six blessings".
Why has Georgina adopted Crisitano's children?
A week after their wedding, Georgina and Cristiano Ronaldo have taken another step in their relationship. According to the Portuguese press, the businesswoman has adopted the footballer's three eldest children — Cristiano Ronaldo Jr., born in 2010, and twins Eva María and Mateo, whom the forward welcomed in June 2017.
At the end of that same year, the content creator became a mother for the first time with the arrival of Alana; however, she has always treated her husband's children as her own. For Georgina, being a mother is her top priority, and she is deeply involved in raising her five children — in 2022, she welcomed Bella Esmeralda, whose twin brother sadly passed away during childbirth.
Now, the footballer and Georgina have chosen to formalise the family situation that shapes their daily lives, making the businesswoman the legal mother of Cristiano's three eldest children.
She has always maintained that Eva María, Mateo, and Cristiano Jr. are as if they were her own, reaffirming the close bond she has built with them over the years.
Although it was a standard legal procedure, the decision was made primarily for its legal implications, granting the creator the same parental rights as the forward. Furthermore, the Portuguese press reports that the process was carried out as "secret adoptions," as the couple chose to handle the paperwork in strict privacy.
