Lionel Richie made headlines this week after it was revealed the musician had checked himself into intensive care after a concert on Saturday night.
While performing his hit track 'All Night Long,' the 77-year-old requested a chair on stage and had to sit down for the rest of the performance.

Who is Lionel Richie's girlfriend?
Lionel Richie is in a relationship with entrepreneur Lisa Parigi.
The couple met at a mutual friend's dinner party while Lisa was visiting LA from Switzerland. The pair started talking and instantly hit it off. "It was very organic and very random, but we had great conversations, we spoke all night long about everything," Lisa told Harper's Bazaar Arabia.
Lisa, 36, who is of Swiss, Chinese and Caribbean descent, is the founder and CEO of lifestyle brand, The Estate Collection. She also runs her own skincare line and can speak four languages.
Prior to her career as an entrepreneur, Lisa worked for a tech company.
During her interview with Harper's Bazaar Arabia, Lisa revealed that her favourite song of Lionel's is 'Stuck On You'. "The lyrics, the melody, and although I go to literally almost every show, each time, it feels like I'm hearing it for the first time, so it captivates me, and it feels special," she shared.

During a 2019 interview with People, Lionel opened up about finding love again after two marriages.
"I'm a hopeless romantic," said the singer.
Gushing over Lisa, he continued: "She's extremely beautiful, but most importantly she's smart and helps me deal with my crazy world.
"At this time in my life when you can be so jaded about things, [my girlfriend] Lisa kind of makes everything feel a bit safe," he continued.
Lionel Richie's two marriages
The 'All Night Long' singer's first wife was his college sweetheart Brenda Harvey. The pair were married for almost 20 years before they split in 1993.
Brenda and Lionel are parents to Nicole Richie, 44, whom they took in when she was two years old, and legally adopted when she was aged nine.
Lionel married his second wife, Diane Alexander, in December 1995. The couple are parents to Miles Brockman Richie, 32, and Sofia Richie, 28.
