Before they found lasting love with the partners we know today, some of Hollywood's biggest stars had love stories that have since faded from memory. From whirlwind marriages to ultra-private relationships, these forgotten couples were once the talk of the town.
Join HELLO! as we look back at the A-list exes who played important roles in these stars' lives, even if fans have long forgotten about them.
Kurt Russell and Season Hubley

The pair had met in 1978 on the set of Elvis and quickly fell for each other, despite their differing personalities.

While Kurt and Goldie went on to enjoy incredibly successful Hollywood careers and a happy life together, Season retired from acting in 1999 and now lives out of the public eye.
Ryan Reynolds and Alanis Morissette

The duo met at Drew Barrymore's birthday party in 2002, and Alanis spilled the beans on the romance in a People interview two years later. "We have the perfect combination of compatibility and incompatibility that makes the relationship very passionate," she said. "It's perfect. I think it's about stretching each other."

"They remain close friends and continue to have the utmost love and admiration for each other," their reps told People. "They ask that their privacy be respected surrounding this personal matter."
The singer later shared insight into the end of their six-year relationship, telling the LA Times in 2008 that their split was "debilitating".
"I think it's the straw that breaks the camel's back...I was a full-blown love addict, so it was like, 'I can't keep doing this, my body can't take it.' For someone who is a love addict, [breakups are] debilitating," she explained.
Mila Kunis and Macaulay Culkin
© WireImageYou'd be forgiven for forgetting about this couple, who flew so far under the radar that many didn't even realise they were dating at all. Mila and Macaulay essentially grew up together, beginning their romance in 2002 and ending it after an eight-year run.
Although they kept a low profile, Mila did share a snippet of insight into their down-to-earth relationship with Parade in 2007. "We're incredibly private, and I think we relish the privacy we do actually have and are able to sustain it," the actress explained.

Mila later admitted after their 2011 breakup that dealing with her partner's fame had grown increasingly difficult and taxing. "You couldn’t walk down the street with him," she said in an interview with Howard Stern in 2016, adding that fans "just screamed when they saw him".
"They didn't know how to react. It wasn't like a normal response to a celebrity. Fans responded in a very abnormal way to him." Despite their breakup, Mila maintained that their time together had helped her grow as she chased her Hollywood dreams. "Being settled so young really helped," she told Elle in 2012.
"You know, I wouldn't take back anything in my life, not one thing. I think it all shaped me to be who I am today. There are things that people know about, and there are things that the press doesn't know about, and everything that did occur 100 per cent shaped who I am. My ex-boyfriend, my family, my friends, everybody."
Tom Cruise and Mimi Rogers
© Getty ImagesTom Cruise's marriages to Nicole Kidman and Katie Holmes may have been incredibly high-profile, but they certainly weren't his first. The Mission: Impossible star met Lost in Space actress Mimi Rogers at a mutual friend's party, and they tied the knot in 1987 when Tom's career was on the rise.
The couple seemed blissfully happy and would often speak about each other in interviews. "I have a lot of happiness and security. I recommend [getting married]," Mimi told the Chicago Tribune in 1988. Her husband then shared with Rolling Stone in 1990 that Mimi was the one.

"I care about my wife more than anything in the world. She's my best friend. I just really like being with her, you know? I love her." Mere days after Tom's Rolling Stone interview, they announced they had split after almost three years of marriage.
Tom went on to meet Nicole on the set of Days of Thunder that year and married her in December 1990, while Mimi later wed producer Chris Ciaffa in 2003. Despite their split, Mimi left a lasting legacy on the action star; after all, it was she who introduced him to the Church of Scientology, paving the way for him to become the religion's poster boy.
Jennifer Garner and Scott Foley

Jennifer made a brief guest appearance on Felicity in 1998, and sparks flew between her and Scott. They were married two years later in an intimate backyard ceremony, and epitomised the wholesome Hollywood couple.

Scott spoke out about the end of their marriage to TV Guide, clarifying that the relationship had simply run its course. "Jennifer became a huge celebrity. She became a huge star, and she deserved everything she got. There was no other relationship, there was no infidelity, nothing. People get divorced, you know? Through no one's fault and everyone's fault," he said.
