It's been a year and a half since Jennifer Aniston and Jim Curtis began their romance.

The couple first made headlines when they were spotted together vacationing on a yacht in the summer of 2025, before eventually making it official a few months later.

Jennifer Aniston and Jim Curtis have now been dating for about a year and a half

Since then, they've proudly showed off their relationship, with Jim, 50, newly opening up to The Times about their romance, and sharing some more detail on how they first met.

While it was already publicly known that they'd been set up by mutual friends, at first, apparently, a premonition occurred, when he'd sensed that by the age of 50, he'd be in a relationship with "someone unlike anyone I had ever been in a relationship with."

The following year, Jennifer began following Jim on Instagram, even posting a photograph of one of his self-help books, Shift: Quantum Manifestation Guide, on her page in May. They were soon then set-up by a mutual friend, and that July was when they were seen vacationing in Mallorca.

It didn't start off immediately with sparks, however. "There was a many-month friendship first," Jim explained, noting that he had some reservations after his first marriage didn't work out.

However, with Jennifer, 57, things felt different.  "The drive was more natural, more organic, less needy. In the past I've felt this idea of, 'I need you to be in love with me …' I wasn't searching for love any more. And what do I feel now? I feel real joy, real presence, real calmness, real partnership."

He also opened up about splitting his time now between Jennifer's multi-million dollar Bel Air home in Los Angeles and his own apartment in New York City's Tribeca neighborhood. And meditation and spirituality, per Jim, is a large part of what makes them tick as a couple.

"We take real responsibility to go within and understand and soothe ourselves. So we meditate together," he shared. "I meditate and I'll say things like 'I'm divinely guided', meaning I don't have to worry, it's all working out," even noting that the Friends actress herself is a yogi and participates in "goddess circles" with her other female friends.

While he does note that he is "very careful" about how he manages his public life and profiles now, given his newfound celebrity status thanks to his famous partner, he's grateful to have more attention placed on his work. "Aren't I blessed to be of interest?" he mused.

"And to have the opportunity that if there is a soul, person or mind that is interested in my work, that now I have the potential to bring it to them. And that is my mission."

However, he doesn't engage with the news, calling it "brainwashing," and also mentioned that he doesn't actually read any stories about their relationship, adding: "It's certainly not helping me and it's sensational. So I have decided it's better if I don't look."
