Stefanie Powers was one of the biggest television stars of the 1980s thanks to her starring role in the hit mystery-adventure series Hart to Hart.
While the actress, who has received two Emmy nominations, five Golden Globe nominations, and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, might be best recognised for her on-screen work, she has also built an impressive legacy away from the bright lights of Hollywood.
Stefanie, now 83, has long been involved in wildlife conservation, founding the William Holden Wildlife Foundation in the 1980s.
During an appearance on the Kenyan news station, NTV, in October, Stefanie spoke about her work with the foundation's Education Center in Kenya, which teaches students about wildlife biodiversity, conservation and sustainable practices.
"We opened our doors in 1982 at the William Holden Wildlife Foundation, and we have served over a million Kenyans," explained the actress. "And we continue to do so and hope that whatever they glean from their visit with us, they take and they elaborate on it on their own."
Speaking about the growing threat to wildlife, Stefanie continued: "Kenya has a great deal to lose because you have such unique wildlife and flora and fauna. We just need to make sure we preserve them as much as possible because they are the echo of our creation. If we listen, nature is telling us every day, whether it's the trees, the plants, the climate, the climate is telling us every day that we've screwed up.
"If because of the work I've done and the exposure that I've had to large audiences, it allows me to have a voice, or allows me to speak about something that is so concerning and should be so concerning to all of us, I'm grateful," she added.

"We were soulmates," the actress admitted. "In six of the nine years that we were together, he was sober. It was a very meaningful time for both of us."
