Celebrity chef Rosemary Shrager's 'bake with a difference': prune and walnut tart

Popular TV chef and food writer Rosemary Shrager is always sharing her cooking tips either at her esteemed cookery school in Tunbridge Wells, on the small screen or in her numerous cookbooks.

And now the celebrity chef has shared a sweet prune tart recipe with HELLO! Online, so that our readers can try their hand at the perfect baked dessert.

Rosemary's dish is perfect as an impromptu bake using pantry ingredients. She was looking for a bake with a difference; a richer flavour and creamy taste, making prunes the perfect addition.

"This sort of dish is an all-year-round dish and it works perfectly as the prunes are a very handy store cupboard product," she says.

And the sweet treat has an added bonus - prunes are one of the best foods for vitamin K, vital for strong bones and blood clotting, and beta carotene.

Rosemary is the latest in an ever-expanding line of celebrity bakers to produce exclusive recipes for California prunes. The BBC's Great British Bake Off winner Frances Quinn recently shared her California prune pout dodgers recipe.

See Rosemary demonstrate the delicious California prune and walnut tart for yourself at the next Cake and Bake Show at London's Earls Court on 3-5 October.
