Chic trouser suits have turned out to be one of the key trends of the year, with everyone from Victoria Beckham to Good Morning Britain weather presenter Laura Tobin rocking colourful, feminine versions of the looks once reserved for serious business events only. But a little tricker to pull off is a serious, pinstripe version of the trend – the dark colours and vertical stripes are so flattering, but how do you wear them without looking like you should be appearing on an episode of The Apprentice?
This look is great for both work and play
Enter Kate Garraway. The Good Morning Britain presenter looked fantastic when she presented the show on Friday wearing a navy pinstripe blazer and trousers from Boden. To keep the look feminine and enhance her slim figure, she went for a style that's nipped in at the waist and has a subtle flare in the trousers. To liven it up, she went for trousers with a fun bright pink racer stripe down the side, and accessorised with a hot pink long-sleeved top underneath and a pair of matching pointed shoes. Gorgeous! The trousers are currently on sale for £120 and the jacket costs £185.

Kate and her GMB co-stars are all dressed by the show's head of wardrobe, Debbie Harper, who is known for her love of bold, accessible high street style, and regularly posts the outfits she's created with the presenters on her popular Instagram page, Debbie Dresses. Kate has spoken in the past about how Debbie has helped her feel comfortable trying now styles. She perviously told HELLO!: "She sorts out our clothes for the show, and she makes sure we're not all wearing the same colour, she makes sure we're all coordinated otherwise it could be a pretty hideous clash to wake up to. But we choose, we're not forced to wear something we don't want to wear."
