It's been a busy week for Victoria Beckham! The chic mother-of-four has launched her new eyewear collection as part of her eponymous fashion brand, as well as appearing on Emma Grede's podcast.
On Thursday evening, the 51-year-old fashion mogul shared a carousel of pictures from her launch event, sporting a brand new, three-piece suit.
Designed in a classic navy blue with contrasting pinstripes, the former Spice Girl took masculine tailoring to a new level by sporting a matching waistcoat. The look gave her a supreme stance, and she teamed it with towering high heels and a pair of her new shades.
Suits like this give a structured look and convey a sense of power due to the tailored cut and block colour. Masculine tailoring is a huge, ongoing catwalk trend and is embraced by women all over the world.
Victoria famously wore suit jackets like this throughout her career in the Spice Girls, too - often opting for blazers of all varieties, and she appeared to love the simplicity of a pinstripe. Her moulded waistcoat nips in her waist and accentuates her form, which is something that she often did as 'Posh Spice', and as you can see, it still works today.
"I've always said from the beginning it's about getting the balance between masculinity and femininity. I'm quite a feminine dresser, but there's always got to be the right element of toughness and a muscular, masculine take as well," the fashionista previously told The Impression.
Victoria's tailoring ensembles are readily available on her website, but there are similar tailored items on the UK high street that nod to her celebrated aesthetic.
F&F has a sleek, three-piece pinstripe ecru suit in an elegant off-white shade, and Marks and Spencer's tailored pinstripe waistcoat in navy is a worthy dupe of Victoria's designer version.
Victoria on 'Brand Beckham'
During her appearance on Emma Grede's Aspire podcast, VB lifted the lid on her family's brand endeavours.
"People talk about Brand Beckham, and that has happened so organically," she said. "When I first met David, I mean, he was a Brylcreem boy… David was Adidas and Brylcreem – and Pepsi, you know. I was in the Spice Girls, and that's where I learned so much about how to build a brand and marketing. So while he was doing Brylcreem and Adidas, the Spice Girls were doing Walkers Crisps, Pepsi, Chupa Chups lollies, and deodorant."
"When people talk about Brand Beckham, that was never something that we ever even discussed together. David did what he did, I did what I do, and as I said, we're just a couple of builders. That's what we do. It's what we enjoy," she revealed.
