Call the Midwife's Helen George, 42, pulled off the most bewitching Halloween transformation.

The star celebrated the spooky holiday this year in a lacy look of dreams with a daring twist. Helen transformed in head-to-toe black, opting for a dramatic lace veil that swept over her signature blonde locks and draped right down to the floor.

The actress slipped into a sheer, long-sleeved lace dress for the costume, which exposed her legs beneath and cinched at the waist with a figure-hugging corset. For the final spooky touch, Helen wore a statement necklace made up of strands of layered beads linked together.

Helen's glamorous style

Helen's sleek style could not be more different from her retro persona on Call the Midwife. While attending the London after-party for her theatre show, High Society, in June, the actress slipped into another lacy number with the most unbelievable corsetry.

Helen looked incredible on the red carpet in a high-collared lace dress with a structured corset that laced up at the front for a form-fitting silhouette. The dress featured long sheer lace sleeves and a flattering pencil skirt, exposing a pair of pointed-toe stilettos.

The actress has worn a mix of glamorous gowns, plunging necklines and leather on red carpets throughout her career, including a standout fur-lined leather trench coat for the Cirque du Soleil "OVO" VIP premiere in January.

Her blonde hair is part of her signature look in real life and as Trixie on Call the Midwife. But speaking to the London Standard in December 2025, the actress shared that she's had to start wearing wife in recent seasons due to bleach damage from her platinum hair colour on the show.

“My hair was just getting so fried with all of the bleach," she told the publication.
