Queen Rania of Jordan, 55, proved her credentials as a style chameleon as she graced the streets of London this week.
Swapping her recent summer dresses for elevated workwear, the royal wore luxury designers from head to toe as she spoke at the 'Carrying the Weight: Building Strength for Heavy Times' discussion at SXSW London 2026.
"Today, we find ourselves in a moment that demands clear communication and determination – but just like anyone who has gone too long without breaking a sweat, we are discovering that our muscles have gone soft," Her Majesty said. "The worst part is, atrophy is self-reinforcing. When we believe we cannot lift something, we do not try; and the less we try, the less we can lift."
In photos shared to Instagram, Rania layered a white shirt underneath her Dior co-ord, which included the brand's short-sleeved jacket from the Spring-Summer 2025 Ready-to-Wear collection, featuring a low V-neck, structured shoulders and a black leather belt.
To further accentuate the waist, the £3.5k piece had adjustable leather side tabs that hugged Rania's figure. According to Royal Fashion Police, King Abdullah II's wife teamed it with the matching black trousers, which retail for £1.2k, and the Dior £12.9k white gold bracelet, bringing her total expenditure from the brand to £17.6k for this outfit alone.
Continuing with the designer labels, Rania accessorised with contrasting white Christian Louboutin heels and a Fendi blue leather bag.
Queen Rania's tailored wardrobe
This feeds into Rania's regular outfit formula, with her penchant for tailored pieces from luxury brands that can be easily reworn. Take her outing in May, for example, when she attended the Al Aman Fund Charity Dinner in a Giorgio Armani three-piece suit, finished with Gianvito Rossi heels and a Jacquemus clutch.
While the silhouette was not a surprise to Rania's fans, her outfit was a step out of her comfort zone with the sparkly metallic finish. Fashion stylist and alum of the London College of Fashion, Leanne Jones, told HELLO! that she expertly mastered how to style glitter.
"What Queen Rania gets right here is the foundation, with the structure of a suit and a co-ord that is inherently elegant. That immediately elevates the sparkle, while the low contrast between the olive base and the gold shimmer also creates a softened metallic effect that flatters her complexion, rather than overwhelming it," she said.
Commenting on how Rania champions wearing clothing you love at any age, she added: "Perhaps the most important point here is that style doesn’t have an age limit. Whether you're in your 20s, your 50s, or beyond, you should feel completely free to wear what you love. Sparkle and metallics, when worn with self-assurance, always work."
Fashion confessions
While she tends to avoid addressing her sartorial choices, the Jordanian Queen made an exception during an interview with Harper's Bazaar Arabia.
"I am very passionate about my work, and the clothes I wear don’t have any bearing on that," she said. "I am also very mindful that I have a duty to represent my country well. So, rather than follow the latest trends, I aim to dress in a way that reflects who I am. I find that I’m most comfortable in modest wear – partly because of my position, but mostly because it feels right for me, as a woman."
After noting the public interest in her wardrobe, she added: "At the end of the day, I hope it is my work that defines me, not my wardrobe."
