Lady Kitty Spencer's daughter Athena, 3, is a mini mermaid with shell-embellished hair

Princess Diana's niece Lady Kitty Spencer appears to be enjoying a sunny holiday with her daughter Athena, who has been making the most of the seaside location.

Following a dip in the sea, the three-year-old sported salty, damp hair that had been secured in a bun with shell clips securing blonde strands away from her face. Looking longingly out at the blue water, Athena was unknowingly captured on camera in sunglasses and a blue floral sundress.

"Looking for mermaids," Kitty captioned the photo, but with her seaside-inspired outfit and mermaid hair, she could have been mistaken for the beloved Disney princess Ariel instead.

The mother-daughter duo had both packed enviable holiday wardrobes, with Kitty later revealing that Athena was raiding her shoe collection. With her little girl's tiny feet slipped inside designed heels, Kitty joked: "When your three-year-old spies the @aquazurra options."

Style runs in the family

While Kitty was soaking up the sun on a seaside location, her sisters Lady Eliza and Lady Amelia had a busy week visiting the All England Club for Wimbledon.

Joining HELLO! as we hosted a series of guests of Emirates, the twins looked elegant on day two of the event in classic linen sets. 

Amelia, 33, wowed in a pair of tailored shorts with a matching waistcoat from Intermissi, alongside a Garrard necklace and Longchamp 'Looong L Shoulder Bag' in vanilla. Her sister wore a similar white co-ord with trousers.

On day four, the pair championed the classic courtside colour scheme in ivory white sundresses, while Amelia's husband Greg Mallett looked dapper in a beige check suit jacket. 

Special aunt bond

Kitty has joked that despite the generational difference, Athena has created a close bond with her aunts, even developing a similar personality.

She told Tatler: "[Athena] is very outdoorsy and like a spinning top. She certainly has two doting, laughing aunts, who say they are 'steering her in our direction.'

"She's very similar to the twins. It's so funny…. So cool for her when she has these two aunts that come bursting through the door. I don't think she thinks there's an age gap." Amelia agreed, joking: "I don't think we think there's an age gap."

Kitty continued: "So there's actually a triplet there for them. When the girls are on the phone and she doesn't want them to go, she pulls out her whole repertoire of tricks."
