She's the first Oscar winner to become 007's big screen love interest – and now Halle Berry may be the first actress to get her own Bond babe spin-off.

The star's role as sexy secret agent Jinx in the upcoming Die Another Day has inspired movie bosses to consider reprising the character as the lead in a spy-action thriller. The spin-off film would be the first of its kind in the 007 franchise's 40-year history.

"There are talks about it," confirmed series producer Barbara Broccoli. "We are considering it."

And the Monster's Ball beauty says she'd be thrilled to step into the female spy's shoes once again. "If they'd put the loving care that they put into James Bond, I absolutely would," she told US cable network E! Entertainment. "I'd do it in a heartbeat."

Of course, the stunning actress warns fans they shouldn't jump the golden gun – she already has four or five projects in the works, including X-Men 2. "What happens in this town is when you start talking about a project, when you are thinking about if you want to be involved, all of a sudden it's in the paper that you are doing it," she says.
