Bridget Fonda's single white female days are firmly behind her, it seems, now that she has announced her engagement to musician Danny Elfman. It is thought the 39-year-old, who has never been married before, met Elfman when they were working together on the 1998 film A Simple Plan.Bridget has been particularly in need of some tender, loving care of late, after a car crash in Los Angeles left her with two fractured vertebrae.
Her Jaguar was written off when it went over and embankment and rolled down a hill, but Bridget is said to be recovering well. Police say the accident was probably caused by unusually bad weather in LA at the time. The actress, who made her name in movies like Jackie Brown and The Godfather III, is part of a silver screen dynasty that includes father Peter Fonda, aunt Jane Fonda and her late grandfather Henry Fonda.
Her 49-year-old fiancé is best known for his musical scores for films including Batman, Beetlejuice, and Sleepy Hollow. He is also a two-time Oscar nominee, thanks to the music he wrote for Good Will Hunting and Men in Black, while his theme tune for The Simpsons is nothing short of legendary.
