Television's toughest secret agent made some new friends on Monday, when Kiefer Sutherland joined Matthew Perry and Matt LeBlanc at the Museum of Television and Radio Awards.

The prime time stars had come along to show their support as Friends producers Kevin Bright, David Krane and Marta Kauffman were honoured for their contribution to television. The trio were applauded for having "revolutionised quality prime time entertainment" at a gala ceremony in the Beverly Hills hotel

CBS News anchorman Dan Rather was also feted for "his steadfast commitment to fair and accurate reporting". He follows in the footsteps of such luminaries as Martin Sheen, Mary Tyler Moore, Barbara Walters and Sid Caesar by being honoured at the annual event.

The Museum of Television and Radio, which was founded in 1975, celebrates the greatest achievements and most important personalities in North American broadcasting. With branches in both New York and Los Angeles, it boasts a collection of over 100,000 programmes which visitors can peruse at private consoles.
