Up-and-coming movie star Mark Ruffalo was in his element on Thursday night when he took to the red carpet with two of the silver screen's hottest female talents. The hunky actor was accompanied by Jennifer Aniston and Mena Suvari as he stepped out for the premiere of their new collaboration Rumour Has It. In the film Jennifer plays a woman who discovers that the 1967 screen classic The Graduate was based on her own family and she may be the offspring of its famous romantic tryst. Mark, who movie fans will recognise from In The Cut and Collateral, plays the fiancé who struggles to understand his bride-to-be's unusual conundrum.

Speaking to journalists before the screening, the popular actress said things are going rather more smoothly in her real life, though. Responding to the inevitable questions about her much-publicised divorce from Brad Pitt, the 36-year-old revealed the support she received from the public helped her through the break-up. "On an energetic level, I feel it's wonderful and very comforting," she explained. "I was actually surprised to see that kind of a reaction."

With three new movies due to hit cinemas over the next few months, Jen's enjoying a burgeoning film career. She's still in close contact with her former castmates from the series that brought her to fame, however. "I see Courteney every week, being the godmother of her little baby girl, and last week I saw Matty Perry and Matty LeBlanc," she said. "It's not an effort to keep up with them, we just do it."
