Ever since Demi Moore posed for a sensational magazine cover while seven months pregnant it has been de rigueur for Hollywood ladies to show their baby bumps with pride. And Gwyneth Paltrow and Angelina Jolie recently became the latest A-list celebs to be expecting and loving it.
At the Golden Globes the Proof actress drew admiring glances when she arrived in a tiered Balenciaga gown. With her tear-drop earrings and a soft up-do, 33-year-old Gwyneth was a vision of ethereal womanhood.
Meanwhile her red-carpet companion, English rose Rachel Weisz, was positively radiant in a gold Donna Karan gown. "I had to find a dress that would glow with me - that was the main challenge", said The Constant Gardener star, who is four months away from giving birth.
Angelina also got in on the proud mum-to-be act during a charity trip to Haiti. Just days earlier the Lara Croft star had been hiding her stomach with loose-fitting clothes. With the cat out of the bag, the 30-year-old actress was more than happy to show off her growing tummy in a tight t-shirt.
And since news of her own pregnancy broke Katie Holmes has been the chief exponent of the "yummy- mummy-in-training" look. The Batman actress has accompanied fiancé Tom Cruise to numerous events, sporting big shades and an even bigger grin to go with her bump.
