Although the Oscars are done and dusted for another year, in the movie business the work most definitely goes on. So on both sides of the Atlantic celebrities including Matthew McConaughey, Sarah Jessica Parker and Natalie Portman have been stepping out for a flurry of premieres.

V For Vendetta star Natalie caused quite a stir by arriving at the film's London screening, flanked by two masked men.

The shocking shaven look she adopted for the gritty, comic-based movie has now been replaced by a short crop. But rather than show relief at returning to something like Queen Amidala-style glamour, the Star Wars actress seems nostalgic for her bald head, saying: "It was exciting. I usually blend in, but people really stare when you're a girl with a shaved head."

Also at the Leicester Square bash was Kelly Osbourne, oozing girl-about-town chic in a patterned coat and white gloves, and escorted by her cute brother Jack.

Over in Kensington, the Duchess of Cornwall was meeting the all-star cast of These Foolish Things, which includes Hollywood actress Anjelica Houston. Elegant in a floor-length velvet coat dress, Camilla also impressed royal watchers with the practical gesture of carrying her own brolly to ward off the rain.

Meanwhile in New York, Matthew McConaughey and Sarah Jessica Parker were laughing off rumours that the set of their romantic comedy Failure To Launch was blighted by feuding.

For two actors said not to get on, Matthew and the former Sex And The City star appeared to have an easy camaraderie as they shared jokes and banter in front of the cameras.
