The longer we all sit around thinking about what's the best thing, and what's the best way to do it, the more we make 'it' into a big deal... and, because so much time has now been spent discussing all those pros and cons, ins and outs, upsides and downsides... the more it begins to seem as if the only appropriate thing to do, is to stand around even longer, holding even more discussions and debates. Of course, once a thing has happened, it's a very different story. Under this week's eclipse, theory turns to reality for you. Click here to read your horoscope

Ioan Gruffudd was born in Wales in 1973 and became an actor from an early age, starring in the Welsh TV film Austin at the age of 13.In 1992 he moved to London to study at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts but he felt isolated there and nearly dropped out several times. By the end of his time at RADA he had been cast as the lead in Hedda Gabler, and this led to his first major TV role in the remake of Poldark.

In 1997 he appeared in the box office hit Titanic and the next year landed the lead in a new ITV TV show, Hornblower.

Based on the C.S. Forester novels, Ioan played Horotio Hornblower, a Royal Navy officer during the French Revolutionary Wars and the Napoleonic Wars.

The show won two Emmys in 1999, including Outstanding Mini-Series.

Speaking in 2007, Ioan said of the role: "I would love to play Hornblower again. I have a dream of playing him on the big screen. "A+E (the media company which produced the series) decided that since it's such an expensive venture to make these movies for television, they're not going to make any more at this point. So it's down to me, I think, to try to bring it back to life."Ioan has also played Mister Fantastic in the big screen adaptation of the Fantastic Four comic series, and he played Tony Blair in the American film, W.Ioan has been married to fellow actress Alice Evans since 2007. The couple have two daughters together.
