Jennifer Lawrence's Katniss Everdeen makes a devastating return to District 12 in this new teaser clip from The Hunger Games: Mockingjay.

The hugely popular franchise is back on 20 November, and Mockingjay follows on from the end of Catching Fire, when Katniss destroyed the stadium in which the 75th Hunger Games were being held.

She was collected by the mysterious and previously unknown inhabitants of District 13, which was thought to have been destroyed at the end of the first rebellion against the Capitol years before.

In this new teaser trailer, Katniss is forced to return to her home in District 12 by the rebels, only to discover it has been destroyed by the Capitol. The rebels hope that the shock will make her understand the battle they have in front of them.

New Zealand singer-songwriter Lorde has curated the soundtrack to the film and her single Yellow Flicker Beat is played over the top of this clip.Jennifer returns to the film along with Liam Hemsworth as Gale Hawthorne who is now a member of the rebels, and Josh Hutcherson as Peeta Mellark, whom Katniss learns is alive after he was left in the ruins of the previous Games.

An adaptation of Suzanne Collins' trilogy of young adult books,

the third and final book of the series, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, has been broken up into two films, which were shot back-to-back to make them as cohesive as possible. "The advantage is that it is still one book, and by making all of it at once we're able to know where the characters are relative to where they need to be," producer Nina said in an interview. "Especially since there are major transformations in this story for Katniss, for Peeta and for Gale.
