Britain's Got Talent is back... almost! Simon Cowell and the gang have headed to Blackpool to carry out their first auditions of the popular ITV show.

Simon and his fellow judges Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden and David Walliams boarded a private jet to fly a couple of hundred miles up north. They were joined by lovable hosts Ant and Dec.

The stars all posted the same photo on Instagram, sharing their excitement ahead of the auditions. "Back with my @bgt family and it feels good! Have missed these faces!" wrote Alesha.

But it looks like the group were slightly delayed in taking off. Posting a jokey snap of the gang minus Amanda, Alesha wrote: "Waiting for our Queen @noholdenback #rolereversal #BGT."

The panel has remained the same since 2012, so it was no surprise that Alesha, Amanda and David all returned for this year's series. In 2016 shortly after the tenth series wrapped, head honcho Simon stated that his fellow judges are all "very welcome back next year".

"Waiting for our Queen," she joked

Speaking to Closer, he said: "I hate to admit it, but David is very welcome back next year. The whole panel is! We all like being on the show, and that's what's important. They are about as good as we're ever going to get.

"We actually considered transferring them all on to X Factor at one point, but their egos, if I ever suggested it, would be unbearable!"

The eleventh series will return to screens this spring, with the winner performing at the Royal Variety Performance at the end of the year. Magician Richard Jones was crowned victorious in 2016 after wowing the judges and viewers at home with his magic tricks.
