The Love Island villa was rocked with arguments when Georgia took Laura's love interest, Jack, on a date, and the pair couldn't agree on who had kissed who at the end of the date. While the footage seemed to show Georgia taking the initiative to give 'new Jack' two pecks on the lips, viewers have been outraged to discover that the controversial scene may have actually been filmed twice, throwing the authenticity of the moment and the contestants' reactions into question. One fan pointed out that the kiss appeared to have been filmed twice as Wes and Megan, who were also on a date, were in two different places in the background of the kiss.

Georgia fell out with some of the girls in the villa over the incident

Commenting on the clip, one person wrote: "This actually makes sense now! Probably the first time they kissed they both went in at the same time like Georgia claims, but the second time production filmed it, Jack changed his mind and backed away? No wonder they are both telling two versions of what happened."

Another person tweeted: "My brain is scambled." However, others have suggested that producers simply asked them all to stand up together, with one explaining: "My theory is that the producers probably tell them to stand up simultaneously for a good shot. Wes and Meg stood up too quickly so they probably told them to stand up again but all at the same time."

The kiss caused plenty of drama in the villa, and new Islander Idris added fuel to the fire on Tuesday's episode after telling Laura that he watched the footage, which showed Jack kissing Georgia. His comments caused fans to take to Twitter to discuss the situation, with one writing: "Is Idris alright. That's not cool to make up lies to a girl just so he can get her. The Love Island producers need to settle this once and for all and show the Islanders the kiss."
