Shark Tank star and entrepreneur Barbara Corcoran has stirred up a debate after her resurfaced comments about firing employees on Fridays went viral.

The 73-year-old business magnate, who has built a $100 million fortune, is known for her candid business advice, which she frequently shares with her one million TikTok followers.

In a TikTok video from The Diary of a CEO podcast, Barabar shared her preference for firing employees on Fridays. She said: “I love firing people on Fridays.”

Before letting someone go, she would ask for a meeting with the employee a few days in advance. She continued: “I would stop by someone’s desk on a Wednesday and say, ‘Hey, would you have some time on Friday?’ They should’ve heard about the rumors.”

She added: “I couldn’t wait until I came in to fire them.”

The "Shark Tank" investor explained that she has fired employees who displayed a consistently negative attitude.

She said: “I picked out individuals who were negative. My attitude toward the negative person is that they were ruining my good kids.

People who are negative have to have somebody else negative to be with them. They’ve got to talk to somebody, complain. I’m not talking about people who tell you what you’re doing wrong, they’re invaluable. I’m talking about chronic complainers and negative people. You gotta get rid of them.”

During the termination meeting, she revealed that her go-to phrase was to inform the employee that they weren't a good fit for the company.

She explained:“I learned very early, after firing one negative person, never tell them why you’re firing them or you’re getting a rat’s nest. You just don’t fit the company.”

The viral TikTok, which has garnered 800,000 views, sparked mixed reactions in the comments.

Some users agreed with Barbara's approach, while others felt she appeared too "giddy" when discussing firing employees on Fridays.

She recently went viral again on TikTok when she shared her "most embarrassing moment" on the "Shark Tank" set.

She mistakenly took her co-star, billionaire Mark Cuban, for a bellboy, only to discover he was her new co-star upon arriving on set.

She recalled: “I look at the guy next to me, and it’s the luggage guy sitting in the seat next to me. “So I said to him, ‘What are you doing here?’”

“He said, ‘I’m Mark Cuban. Nice to meet you.’”
