Alex goes to Dollywood

Fresh from topping the leaderboard, Alex might do it once again thanks to her stylish foxtrot. After being called the "Queen of Rumba", will she keep it going?

Alex's critique

Anton "completely loved" the routine and he had plenty of praise for Alex's "divine" dance. Craig, however, noted gapping and an error towards the start of the routine (I missed this). Motsi said that Alex made the foxtrot look "effortless".

Alex scores highly

Shirley thought that Alex might "make the final", so it's understable that the Doctor Who star would score highly. The star finished the night with a score of 32, including a 9 from Anton.

George brings energy with his colourful jive

Harry Styles made it to the Strictly dancefloor, courtesy of George Clarke, who brought plenty of fun to his jive. It might not have been the best jive ever, but George remains a performer!

Craig calls George "stompy"

Craig wasn't too impressed with the dance, saying it was "flat-footed" and "stompy", and Motsi felt that George might have lost energy during the routine, but found some good highlights. Shirley agreed with Craig and noted some mistakes from the social media star, saying they were quite "visible". Could this be George's lowest score yet?

George might need audience help

We saw the audience rally around La Voix last week, and given his popularity, we imagine George will be in the same position. And he might need it, as the star only scored 27, one of his lowest scores in the competition. But, not far behind some of the other couples in the show.

Vicky dances her Couple's Choice

Look, Vicky is a fab dancer and her speech about reclaiming the narrative was important, but she didn't hit every mark in my view. But Vicky is amazing, and I'm so happy to have watched her tonight.

It's Vicky 'best dance'

Motsi showed why she's a professional judge and I'm not, as she hailed Vicky's performance as her "best dance". Shirley praised how in synch the duo were and concured with Motsi, while Anton said the performance showed how much Vicky had progressed in the competition.

Vicky left stunned by her scores

It ended up as Vicky's best dance, with the TV personality getting a score of 33 for the performance, that's higher than Alex!

Bal or Bey?

Balvinder found herself in the dance-off again last week, and she's hoping to fight back with her quickstep. In theory, she should get through this week, but she should have avoided the dance-off last week. Let's see what happens.

The judges share their thoughts

Shirley enjoyed Balvinder's solo sections, but thought she needed to be better in hold and said the actress had brought her "A-game", and Anton loved the "vibe" of the dance, but agreed with Shirley's comments on Balvinder's hold and wanted her to dance out of her "comfort zone". Craig also called for a more "elegant" top line, and her dance ended up being like a "hoedown".

What Balvinder scored

The leaderboard is getting tight at the bottom, and Balvinder hasn't helped scoring a 28.

Harry's steamy Argentine Tango

I was surprised that Harry was given the Argentine Tango, but the Gladiators star, but he was able to deliver a good routine. I would've expected a steamier routine, especially to Usher, but Harry remains a star on the dancefloor.

Harry's comments

Craig thought that Harry was "walking" through the routine instead of dancing it, but highlighted the athlete's energy. Motsi, understandably, didn't agree with her fellow judge, and praised his "control". Shirley, however, got boos when she said that routine lacked "breath", but praised his look.

Harry's divisive score

None of the judges gave the same mark, but Harry was left with a score of 30 after the scores were given, including a 9.

Amber breaks free with her cha-cha

I am a massive Ariana Grande fan (shock!), so I was always looking forward to Amber's cha-cha to her hit, Break Free. The West End performer was like a little popstar as she danced, and it's safe to say that she delivered the dance of the night.

Amber gets full praise

Shirley credited the star for a "dynamic performance", but called for a bit more "fluidity". Anton didn't agree with Shirley when it came to his critiques, and said he "absolutely loved" Amber's dance. Craig, however, thought the cha-cha was "balletic" and asked for straighter legs when it came to dancing the Latin dance style.

Amber's final score

I thought it might score higher, but Amber and Nikita walked away with a score of 33. This is the closest leaderboard so far!

Jimmy is Prince

i feel like Jimmy surprises every week, and not only did he look like Prince, but he danced a beautiful American Smooth. Jimmy is my ballroom boy!

A small moment for Jimmy

Although Anton praised Jimmy's frame, he noted a "small moment" during the dance and felt the need to deduct a point from his score. Craig was a fan of the lifts and loved seeing a "different side" to the former footballer, while Motsi loved the way that Jimmy had moved and could see the "hard work" he was putting into each performance.

La Voix closes as Cher

After last week's dance dis-as-ter darling, La Voix came back strong as Cher with a show-stopping salsa. The drag queen didn't have any nerves when it came to dancing despite last week's incident, but she closed in style!

La Voix is back!

Motsi said La Voix had come back "strong enough" and praised the star's singing at the start, while Shirley joked the routine was better than the '2' she gave last week, but thought the drag queen ended up on the "wrong foot" near the start. Anton called the dance a "show salsa number" and thought that La Voix "embodied" the whole mood.

Jimmy ended up with a final score of 30, including 8s from Anton and Motsi. Jimmy has kept this leaderboard close!

Anton will decide

I've kept saying it, but this is such a close leaderboard and so Anton having the deciding vote will be interesting. Will it be third time unlucky for Balvinder, might George be at risk at the bottom of the leaderboard, or are there bigger shocks in store? We'll have to tune in tomorrow night to find out.

That's it for Icons Week, and with a Britney Spears themed pro number tomorrow, I know I won't be missing it. See you next week as we presumably hit the Halloween special.
