Netflix recently released the latest in its string of incredible horror content, If Wishes Could Kill, with the Korean drama arriving at the end of last month.
The series is perfect for those who loved The Ring movies or Countdown, where the protagonists have just a limited time to try and discover what supernatural force is coming after them, after interacting with the world beyond in an unexpected manner.
The synopsis reads: "At Seorin High School, a group of students discover 'Girigo', a mobile application that claims to grant users' wishes. Following the sudden death of a classmate, a connection is discovered between the application and a series of supernatural omens predicting the deaths of other students.
"Yoo Se-ah, Lim Na-ri, Kim Geon-woo, Kang Ha-joon, and Choi Hyeong-wook attempt to stop the cycle of deaths by investigating the app's origins."

What did fans make of If Wishes Could Kill?
Fans have been hooked on the "ominous" drama, with one saying: "I'm gonna be honest this was a 10/10 for me, and some of the criticism I'm seeing so far about this show feels so forced it's almost funny. Like, people are out here nitpicking the smallest, most irrelevant details just to sound like professional critics. Not everything needs to be dissected frame-by-frame to prove you have 'taste'. Sometimes a show is just good, and this was one of those times."
A second added: "Never thought I would get addicted, but I did. The series was so good and very interesting to the very end. I will highly recommend this series and can't wait for another season," while a third posted: "It's so good! Omg it is amazing, top 3 shows I've ever watched. Idk, it's just good and the storyline is so interesting. Like I cried, laughed, got mad, and everything."
Joel Keller opined in Decider: "We get the feeling that If Wishes Could Kill is going to have a relatively low body count, which is OK if there is tension throughout the season and the teens at the show's centre get some interesting character turns."
