Connie Sellecca proved she's still every bit the Hollywood beauty as she made a rare public appearance alongside her husband, television and radio personality John Tesh.

The Hotel actress, 71, looked effortlessly elegant as she joined John courtside at the NBA All-Star Game at Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California, earlier this year.

Dressed in a chic blue top, dark blazer and jeans, Connie appeared relaxed and happy as she enjoyed the sporting event with her husband of more than three decades. John, 73, coordinated in a black NBA All-Star jacket and dark trousers.

The outing offered a rare glimpse of the beloved television star, who became one of the biggest names on the small screen throughout the 1970s and 1980s.

Long before she became a household name, Connie, born Concetta Sellecchia in the Bronx, New York, first found success as a model, working in both America and Europe. Determined to pursue acting, she eventually left Boston College and began building what would become an impressive television career.

Her breakthrough arrived with the CBS comedy-drama Flying High in 1978, where she played one of three glamorous flight attendants. The series may have been short-lived, but it helped establish Connie as one of television's rising stars.

She went on to land a major role in The Greatest American Hero, starring alongside William Katt in the cult-favorite superhero comedy-drama from 1981 to 1983.

However, it was her role as Christine Francis in Aaron Spelling's hit series Hotel that cemented her place in television history.

Her unforgettable Hotel success

Premiering in 1983, Hotel became one of the decade's biggest primetime soaps, following the lives and dramas unfolding at the glamorous St Gregory Hotel in San Francisco.

At the heart of the series was the undeniable chemistry between Connie's character Christine Francis and James Brolin's Peter McDermott. Their will-they-won't-they romance became one of the show's biggest draws and helped keep audiences tuning in week after week.

The series also became famous for its endless parade of celebrity guest stars, including Elizabeth Taylor, Heather Locklear, Morgan Fairchild, Liberace, Ginger Rogers, Eva Gabor and Tippi Hedren.

Future stars also made appearances before finding fame elsewhere, including George Clooney and a young Tori Spelling.

Connie's performance earned widespread acclaim and a Golden Globe nomination in 1987, at the height of the show's popularity.

Finding lasting love

While her professional life was thriving, Connie experienced significant changes in her personal life.

Her marriage to Buck Rogers in the 25th Century star Gil Gerard ended in the late 1980s, but love was waiting around the corner.

She met John Tesh after a chance encounter at a hotel gym in Palm Springs, followed by what she later described as an awkward radio interview.

"He had his friend ask me if I was alone, if I was seeing anyone and if I was naked," Connie famously told People in a joint interview with John before their 1992 wedding.

The couple, who were both born-again Christians, chose to wait until marriage before becoming intimate and have remained devoted to one another ever since.

Together they welcomed daughter Prima, while Connie also shares son Gib with her first husband Gil Gerard.
