Molly Ringwald and Ally Sheedy have been pictured together, 41 years after appearing in the 1985 classic movie The Breakfast Club.
The actresses were captured sharing a sweet hug backstage in a photo shared to Molly's Instagram page. The photo was taken in the theatre of Molly's play Are You Now Or Have You Ever Been?. Molly wore a white linen dress that featured a sleeveless design while Ally was dressed in a black blazer and matching pants. She rocked her signature spectacles as she posed for the picture. The following photograph was a selfie of Molly posing with her sister, Beth Carnes, in the back of a car.
"Very special week! My sister, Beth + my movie sister from another mister, Ally, came to see me onstage! Come see "Are You Now Or Have You Ever Been" at NY City Center! Only till Aug 2! #sisters #theater #areyounoworhaveyoueverbeen," penned the star in the caption.

The cast of The Breakfast Club reunite for 40th anniversary
The cast previously reunited back in April 2025 in Chicago for the 40th anniversary of the iconic film, taking part in a panel at the Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo. For Molly, the reunion meant saying goodbye to a longtime placeholder.
"We don't have to use the cardboard cutout anymore," she joked, before adding, "I feel really moved that we're all together."

But then he wrote Sixteen Candles, turned it into the studio, and they said, 'Oh, we want to do that one first.' So they put The Breakfast Club on hold.”
She revealed that other actors were once considered for the roles, including John and Joan Cusack. "John Cusack was going to play Bender and Joan Cusack was going to play Allison," she said. "And then after Sixteen Candles, he gave me the script."
