We can't wait for the next series of Strictly Come Dancing, and fan excitement reached fever pitch on Tuesday, when the BBC confirmed that radio presenter Will Best would be joining the show's line-up.
Will is a radio and TV broadcaster, best known for shows like Big Brother, This Morning and the Hits Radio Breakfast Show. The star has been on our screens for 15 years, and he'll no doubt be thrilled to be dancing alongside returning star Dani Dyer, given his recent stint on Celebrity Mastermind where her dad was his specialist subject!
Speaking about joining the show, Will said: "I can't quite believe it…I'm doing Strictly! What an absolute dream. Albeit a pretty terrifying one. I've been lucky to do lots of live telly before, but absolutely nothing like this. And I cannot wait! I have no idea if I can actually dance, but bring on the sequins, bring on the quicksteps, bring on the dance floor! I’m going to try to enjoy every minute of it."
Fans were thrilled to see Will finally make his ballroom debut, as one enthused: "What a bloody perfect fit," and a second added: "He'll have to have his Cuban heels on!!!!" Meanwhile, a third commented: "Well... looks like I'm watching Strictly again. 100% behind Will!"
Will joins Lacey Turner, Dani Dyer, Delta Goodrem, Chris Appleton and Cach Mercer, who have all been confirmed for the show over recent weeks.
All change for the Strictly cast
Strictly is due to return in September, and fans can expect a very different show when it heads back to our screens. Five veteran pro dancers, including the likes of Karen Hauer and Gorka Marquez, have left the show's roster, while Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman stepped down from hosting duties at the end of the last season.
In May, it was confirmed that Emma Willis, Johannes Radebe and Josh Widdicombe would be taking over from the iconic duo. The trio were confirmed when Strictly's Instagram shared a video of Emma being joined by Johannes, with Josh teaming up with the pair afterwards.
For fans worried that Johannes would no longer be taking to the dancefloor, the star assured them that while he wouldn't be partnering a celebrity, he would still continue to perform on the show.
Responding to co-host Emma Willis' concerns, he said: "No, listen, I'm not hanging [up] my dancing shoes yet. I'm not, I'm not. I will definitely be throwing some shapes and moving my hips. I can't [not]. That's my life. For it to be just taken away completely would be a travesty for me also. So, it's not lost. There is a plan in action. I mean, it's not my space any more to be on that dancefloor. But there's gonna be, you're gonna see JoJo.
