All eyes were on Angelina Jolie at the Critics Choice Awards on Thursday, and it wasn't just because of her stunning silver Versace dress. The 39-year-old once again has upped the beauty stakes, looking effortlessly chic with old Hollywood style hair and make-up.
The Maleficent actress, who was not joined by husband Brad Pitt for the evening, wore her glossy brown locks down in loose curls, with lots of volume added at the roots for ultimate laidback glamour.
Angelina Jolie has been rocking a dark chocolate brown hairstyle in recent months
Angelina has been a brunette beauty for years, but in recent months it seems that she has chosen to enhance the colour, opting for a shade of dark chocolate brown.
It's not the first time that the American beauty has shown off her new look on the red carpet, but the Critics Choice awards saw her move away from her favoured casual chic red carpet hairstyles for a more dressed-up effect.
When it came to make-up, Angelina's look was all about the eyes, enhancing the rest of her already striking ensemble.

The mother-of-six wore striking black eyeliner on her top and bottom lids, slightly smudged for a smokey eye effect. She then added dramatic thick black eyelashes for a showstopping finish.
The rest of her make-up was kept to a minimum. A hint of blusher made for a fresh-faced, dewy complexion, teamed with nude lips and perfectly groomed eyebrows so as to not draw attention away from the eyes.
It had been an exciting day for Angelina ahead of the ceremony, as it was revealed that Unbroken, the war drama she directed last year, is an Oscar nominee this year in the categories of cinematography, sound editing and sound mixing.
