Ex-EastEnders star Patsy Palmer, who was known for years as Bianca Butcher to fans of the popular BBC soap, looked worlds away from her days on Albert Square as she made a rare public appearance on Loose Women on Thursday. The red-haired beauty, who now resides in the states with her family, was on the show to talk about her new life in Los Angeles - and it appears to be having a positive effect. Looking perfectly polished in a navy blue blouse, she wore her long hair down in loose curls. In terms of make-up, Patsy worked a liner-heavy look that was rounded off with subtle peach blush and a swipe of soft pink lipstick.

While on the show, Patsy received a heartfelt video message from her friend and regular panellist, Martine McCutcheon, who discussed their plans to meet next month. Martine played her best friend Tiffany Butcher in the soap, before being killed off in dramatic scenes in 1998. Patsy, who left the UK for a new life in Malibu back in 2014, was asked by panellist Jane Moore if she missed acting. Confessing, she said: “No I don’t actually miss it. I’m not going to lie. I don’t miss acting one bit.”
Patsy as Bianca Butcher in EastEnders
The 44-year-old, whose real name is Julie Ann Harris, became an overnight hit with fans when she first appeared in EastEnders in 1993 as feisty Bianca. Her on-off romance with boyfriend Ricky Butcher proved particularly popular, and the couple's wedding in 1997 pulled in one of the biggest ever soap audiences — with over 22 million watching. When asked if she would ever consider returning to the show, she answered: "I don’t know. To be honest, I’d say never say never about anything. It was a big mistake if you say things like that but to be honest, I’m nearly 45. There’s so much that you don’t do when you’re in Elstree for 20 years on and off.”

However, despite her own reservations to return, Patsy was pleased for her former co-star, Dean Gaffney, who is due to reprise his role as Robbie Jackson next month. "I’m so happy for him because I know he wanted to go back," she said.
