With only a few days until Wimbledon kicks off, some of the world's top female tennis players enjoyed a rare night off from their hectic training schedules for the WTA pre-Wimbledon party, upping the style stakes with high fashion gowns and eye-catching beauty looks. Hair stylists ghd were on hand to help the stars get ready at the luxurious Style Suite at IMG House, creating dazzling looks for major players from Laura Robson to Petra Kvitova.

HELLO! was in the heart of the action as the striking athletes arrived to get ready, with massages, manicures and make-up artists on hand to help them look and feel their best ahead of the star-studded bash.

Laura Robson was one of the first players to arrive, and chose to have her glossy brunette locks styled into old Hollywood-esque waves. Stylist Anton started by rough drying her hair before styling with ghd's new platinum styler to keep her hair looking healthy and shiny as he created her glamorous look.

Meanwhile, Heather Watson was spotted laughing and chatting with the ghd stylists who were creating her gorgeous hairstyle. While the 23-year-old tends to favour a sleek and straight style for the red carpet, she chose a completely different look for the glitzy bash, instead going for loose, tumbling curls.

She wasn't the only player excited to be getting an afternoon off – Czech beauty Petra Kvitova was all smiles as she enjoyed some pampering. The 25-year-old looked every inch the tennis star with her hair slicked back into a high ponytail, but had her hair styled with the ghd platinum styler into loose curls for the evening.

Other players included Madison Keys, Genie Bouchard, Anastasia Pavluychenkova, Garbine Muguruza and Ajla Tomljanovic, with ghd stylists creating their gorgeous hairstyles and getting them ready ahead of the big night.
