Demi Lovato has unveiled a new dark brown hairstyle

The Really Don't Care hitmaker unveiled her latest makeover with her 48.7 million Instagram followers, smouldering for the camera as she lay in bed wrapped in a dressing gown. Her hair was left down with heaps of volume at the roots to show off its colour, and seemingly has reverted back to its shoulder-length style.

Demi looked every inch a beauty icon in the snap, complementing her new 'do with dramatic smokey eye make-up and on-trend matte lips.

Her makeover came as a surprise to fans, as seven days before the singer and songwriter had debuted a completely different look on Instagram, having dyed her hair blonde and added extensions for cascading loose curls.

Since then, Demi has shared a series of photos as she flaunted her look and even rocked the style on stage during her tour with Nick Jonas. The singer revealed she was loving her new hair colour, admitting it left her "feeling confident" in a caption alongside a photo of her performance.

Despite repeatedly flooring fans with her impressive vocals, Demi caused a stir on Twitter earlier this year when she admitted that she plans to take "a break" from the music industry because of the scrutiny that comes with being in the public eye.

"So excited for 2017," she wrote. "Taking a break from music and the spotlight.. I am not meant for this business and the media."

When one Twitter user asked if she would eventually return to the world of showbusiness, Demi confessed that she hadn't made a concrete decision. "It doesn't feel worth it anymore," she replied. "I'd rather do charity work tbh."
