Gemma turned heads with a striking selfie posted on Instagram

"Day one holibobs is on," she wrote in the photo's accompanying caption. "We're here! Loving my @swimwear365 bikini. Thanks poppets! Woo!!"

The star's enviable abs were on show as she posed in Swimwear365's Lascana turquoise printed bikini, before no doubt heading out to make the most of the sunshine. Tagging her location in the snap, Gemma revealed she had chosen to head to Morocco and stay at the glamorous Club Hotel Riu Tikida Palmeraie, near Marrakech.

The star was joined on the trip by her mother Marg, posting a series of snaps from the airport lounge as the pair waited to board their flight. "We be getting ready to board," she captioned on snap shared with her Twitter followers, before quipping: "@MummyOaten and I had a good fill of executive lounge bacon and Bloody Marys. Tara!"

The mother-daughter duo are very close and recently appeared together on ITV's Lorraine ahead of Eating Disorder Awareness Week, where Marg spoke about the eating disorder helpline she has set up after Gemma's recovery following a 13-year battle with anorexia. Gemma, who overcame her struggle and now candidly speaks out about body image, credited her parents for having helped her through the recovery process and get back to a healthier weight.

"Yeah I think seeing those pictures – to be honest, I haven't seen those in five or six years – and wow, it brings back a lot of memories," she told Fiona Phillips, revealing she first began suffering from anorexia when she was 10 years old. "I was petrified of starting school because I was being bullied. But here I am today and it's down to this wonderful woman, my mum, and my dad who's off camera."
