Selfie queen Kim Kardashian went make-up free for this candid snap on Instagram
The craze of going make-up free in a photo first swept the nation last year, when a campaign encouraging women to post selfies of their bare faces to raise awareness for Cancer Research went viral. While the highly successful campaign may be over, the trend is not. Stars from Taylor Swift to Victoria's Secret angel Adriana Lima often share photos of themselves first thing in the morning before they have reached for any beauty products.
Earlier this year Drew Barrymore celebrated her 40th birthday in style, sharing a make-up free photo in honour of her special day. Drew, who was soaking up the sun on a beach with family and friends, was smiling from ear to ear in the image, after enjoying a dip in the ocean. She captioned the picture simply, "#forty."
