Gigi Hadid pulled out all the stops for the Met Gala on Monday night with her striking gunmetal grey chiffon dress by Tommy Hilfiger, but the 21-year-old model didn't just dazzle fans with her fashion. The rising supermodel also majorly upped the beauty stakes with an eye-catching metallic-inspired manicure, splashing out on the haute couture look which reportedly cost $2000.

To create her striking nail art, Gigi turned to manicurist Mar Y Soul who collaborated with KISS nails on the dazzling look. Using chrome nails in a bold silver shade for a mirror-like effect, Mar Y Soul added a touch of sparkle by adding three crystal gems under each nail for a subtle yet showstopping finish.

Mar Y then delighted her Instagram followers when she posted a close-up snap of Gigi's completed manicure, which the model complemented with striking metallic statement rings.

It wasn't just her incredible nail art that saw the model firmly establishing herself as a beauty icon. Gigi also gave her fans major hair envy with her blonde tresses slicked back into a super sleek low ponytail, held in place with a silver hairband to match her gown.

While this isn't the star's first year at the Met Gala, it was a particularly exciting night for the Maybelline brand ambassador, who made her red carpet debut with Zayn Malik. Fashion's newest power couple looked loved-up as they made their way to the glitzy bash, holding hands and chatting as they walked up the The Metropolitan Museum of Art's famous steps.

While Gigi turned heads in her grey gown, Zayn also embraced the futuristic theme of the night, titled Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology, looking as handsome as ever in a suit that featured metallic armoured sleeves from Versace, complementing Gigi's gown.
