We're all fangirling over Keri Russell and that glowing skin of hers right now. After her loved-up appearance on the Emmy's red carpet with partner Matthew Rhys, not to mention the trailer for season four of the political drama she stars in, The Diplomat, dropping, I needed to know her secret.
Thankfully, the 50-year-old actress' makeup artist Tina Turnbow isn't one to gatekeep which products she uses on the award-winning actress, for which we thank her for. And the one product that piqued my interest is a foundation stick, used on Keri for the 32nd Annual Actors Awards, held earlier this year.

Anything that improves the skin while hiding imperfections, we can get on board with. The Complexion Stick sounds one of those products that will do whatever you need to; according to the product description, it "blurs pores, redness, and texture with a natural-matte finish" and over time, can help to firm, smooth and soften lines and wrinkles thanks to its anti-aging formula, which includes a ceramide-peptide complex and butterfly lavender extract.
I love that its weightless too, as a heavy foundation can tend to sink into lines and wrinkles and actually make them look even more pronounced. It's medium coverage, but buildable, so you can amp up the coverage if and when needed. It's not quite a skin tint or tinted moisturiser, but somewhere between that and a classic, full-coverage foundation. If you're a fan of the natural, clean skin look - but find that some foundations actually accentuate pores or lines - this could be your holy grail foundation.
Turnbow said in an interview with InStyle that it's a favourite as it manages to cover while "still letting real skin breathe." To note, Keri uses shade Maple 14W but there's over 40 to choose from. Plus, the chunky tube make it great for travel or on the go application.

You don't need to take Keri or her makeup artist's word for it - look at the real-life reviews. It scores 4.5 / 5 on the brand's website, with over 2,500 glowing reviews. "I was impressed by how easily it blended into my skin and how well it covered the hyperpigmentation I was trying to conceal. I feel like myself in this product, which is the best compliment I can give," one shopper wrote. "This is an incredibly good product," enthuses another.
"I apply it directly to my 'red' sensitive areas, mainly my cheeks and chin, as I prefer a natural, light touch rather than a full face of makeup. It’s like a giant crayon, and then I gently blend it in with my fingers. I can’t believe it’s not drying, and I can’t believe it stayed on all day in 35-degree, sweaty summer heat in London. It feels super lightweight and is not at all visible. The coverage on my red areas lasted all day with just one morning application."

I’m 51 and my fine lines and wrinkles are blurred away magically by this product. And even though it’s a Matte finish, it doesn’t dry my face out."
The only negatives I can find are customers struggling to find the right shade, with some suggesting blending two together (which I've been known to do for my daily foundations). I think finding the right foundation shade can always be tricky, but there's 42 so one should fit.
