Benefit Cosmetics are known for their pulling-out-all-the-stops product launches, so the beauty world went a little crazy on Thursday when a spoiler was posted on Instagram of the brand's latest launch - a new foundation called Hello Happy. Cute! The photograph was posted to beauty account @trendmood1, which is known for releasing information about brand-new beauty launches before anyone else - so fans were quick to get excited about Benefit's product update. From what we can tell, the name suggests the new foundation will be an extension of the brand's current Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow foundation.

Benefit's new foundation was leaked on Instagram this week

The released image shows a rectangular squeezy bottle, with a pink metallic lid and adorable smiley face printed on the side, in keeping with Benefit's usual cutesy packaging. But what do we know about the new formula? Benefit tells HELLO! that Hello Happy "has a soft-blur formula to hide imperfections without hiding your skin," and "will give a light to medium coverage and a natural-matte finish".

The product will come in 12 shades which all have a neutral undertone "to give flexibility and stretch", and will cover skin tones from fair to deep - and will be landing on shelves in June 2018. We can't wait to try it! It seems that the brand's so-called 'benebabes' can't either, since the Instagram post has already gained over 14,000 likes and hundreds of comments, though some were worried that the shade range wouldn't be large enough.

"Can't wait to try this!" wrote one fan of the brand, while another posted: "12 shades is more than I was expecting but still not enough!!! Really hoping they are at least evenly spread out between fair, light, medium, dark, and deep shades." She certainly has a point - let's hope the launch reveals an array of inclusive shades.
