New parents Giovanna and Tom Fletcher were in a slight panic at the weekend as their son Buzz was admitted to hospital. The HELLO! Online blogger and McBusted star were by their little boy’s side as he was in medical care for an undisclosed health issue.
Tom wasn’t best pleased about having to join a long queue, the doting dad was especially concerned due to his child’s tender age.
Today has been eventful. 5hrs in a NHS waiting room with a 9 day old baby. We were “next to be seen” for 3hrs. #CouldHaveWatchedTitanic— tom fletcher (@tommcfly) March 23, 2014
Joking that the family had to wait as long as it was take to watch the particularly lengthy Titanic film, he tweeted his followers updates about dealing with the UK’s National Health Service on Sunday.
Tom later reassured worried fans that their baby was on the mend though but didn’t stop before he said his piece about other people going before them. Apparently the musician witnessed people with less serious injuries being seen by experts before they could get their son checked out.
Buzz is doing fine. He’s just cranky at the hospital for not prioritising a newborn over silly accident prone kids with twisted ankles ;)— tom fletcher (@tommcfly) March 23, 2014
He also told the Twittersphere that he’d not had the chance to clean himself and had been chowing down on junk food to keep his energy up.
Tom joked alongside the post that his appearance at the weekend was not too different from life on the road with the likes of McFly.
Not showered, not shaved, not slept, surviving on fried foods and cake…being a Dad is VERY similar to being in a band.— tom fletcher (@tommcfly) March 23, 2014
His latest venture sees him team up with Busted members to create a supergroup which will support One Direction on tour. They will appear at Liam Payne, Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik’s gig on 21 June at Paris’s Stade De France venue.
As well as preparing for that Tom has been creating somewhat of a baby diary via his microblogging page as he enjoys the thrill of fatherhood. From telling fans about Buzz’s bowel movements to love for music, the star makes sure to include his devoted followers every step of the way.
Last week Tom was in much better spirits as he told fans that his brother-in-law, TOWIE's Mario Falcone had a new clothing brand.
