Kelly Clarkson has announced she is having a baby boy with husband Brandon Blackstock. The US singer announced the sex of her second child at the weekend via her Instagram page.
The Because of You singer shared an image on her social media page of her first child River Rose with the caption, "In other news, River's gonna have a little baby brother :) We're so excited!".
The image, which has had over 55k likes, sparked well-wishers to congratulate the 33-year-old songwriter after she openly announced the second pregnancy in August, during a performance at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
In June, the Texas-born singer revealed that she was hoping to become pregnant by the end of the year.
"After tour I want to start (trying) for the next one," she said. "It's hard being a woman and wanting kids and fitting in your career."
The Grammy Award winner, who has recently teamed up with Ben Haenow for the single Second Hand Heart, was keen to not have a big age gap between her two children.
"I want them to be close together, because the other two are kind of close together, my stepkids," she said.
Kelly, who wed talent manager Brandon Blackstock in October 2013, is stepmother to Brandon's children, Seth and Savannah, from his previous marriage.
"My kids love her," Brandon's ex-wife Melissa told People in 2013. "I couldn't ask for a better stepmother for my children."
