Ever since welcoming her first child Paul a few months ago, Sam Faiers has been keeping fans updated with dozens of photos of her gorgeous son. The new mum and her baby have been posing for selfies and Paul's many "firsts", but on Sunday, Sam entertained fans with a more candid shot.

Sitting on his mum's lap, Paul was seen pulling a bemused and slightly hilarious expression at the camera. His mum looked picture perfect, wearing an all-white outfit and leaving her honey locks loose and tousled over her shoulders.

"I mean I was ready for a picture...," joked Sam on Instagram. "Baby Paul however not keen."

This isn't the first time that baby Paul has been averse to the camera. The tot was pictured covering his face with his hand when he was just a few weeks old. Sam, 25, joked: "Baby Paul's like 'no pictures mummy' u already have 5000."

The Essex beauty and her property developer boyfriend Paul Knightley welcomed their son in late December, just two days before Sam's birthday.

The former TOWIE star has been doting on her little boy and sharing Paul's many "firsts" with her Instagram followers. Recently posting a photo of her son in the pool, supported by dad Paul, Sam wrote: "Swimming lessons my little darling is getting so confident #proudmama."

The trio have also enjoyed plenty of walks in the park, family days out and reunions with Sam's family, including her sister Billie and Billie's one-year-old daughter Nelly.

After Sam's boyfriend Paul was criticised during his appearance on TV show The Baby Diaries, Sam spoke out in defence of her other half, saying that she couldn't ask for a "better partner".

In the show Paul was deemed "controlling" by some viewers after he insisted on a homebirth, didn't approve of the baby clothes Sam had bought and refused to attend a yoga class with her.

"The thing about Paul is that he cares about me and the baby so much that people mistake that for being controlling," Sam explained to Fabulous magazine. "When I showed him the baby clothes and he was like, 'I'm not too sure on that,' it's just because he really cares about how the baby looks. He's a perfectionist.

"He just wants me to be my best, look my best, have the best career I can. He's genuinely interested, whereas most blokes aren't."
