Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan have some big news to share – they are expecting their second baby! The Facebook CEO announced on the social media site on Thursday that he and his paediatrician wife are expecting a younger sibling for 15-month-old daughter Max later on this year. "Priscilla and I are happy to share we’re expecting another baby girl," Mark, 32, wrote, alongside childhood photos of the couple. "After our difficult experience with having Max, we weren't sure what to expect or whether we'd be able to have another child.

"When Priscilla and I first found out she was pregnant again, our first hope was that the child would be healthy," Mark continued. "My next hope was that it would be a girl. I cannot think of a greater gift than having a sister and I'm so happy Max and our new child will have each other. I grew up with three sisters and they taught me to learn from smart, strong women. They weren't just my sisters but some of my best friends. They've gone on to write books, excel at performance, music, sports, cooking and their careers. They showed me how to compete and still laugh together afterwards."
He added: "Priscilla grew up with two sisters and they taught her the importance of family, caring for others and hard work. They supported each other as first generation college students and in their careers in medicine and business. They have so many inside jokes – the kind only siblings can understand. We are all better people because of the strong women in our lives – sisters, mothers and friends. We can't wait to welcome our new little one and do our best to raise another strong woman."
The couple's daughter Max celebrated her first birthday in November
Mark and 32-year-old Priscilla were married at their Palo Alto home in California in May 2012. The couple's daughter Max celebrated her first birthday in November, with a party at home alongside her parents. "I can't believe it's been a year! And she kissed me on the cheek for the first time yesterday," Mark captioned a Facebook photo to mark the big event, showing the family all wearing party hats. "Here's to many more years of happiness and health for Max and all children around the world."
