High street hero Primark has done it again this season with a series of gorgeous coats at pocket money prices – so gorgeous, in fact, that many of them have sold out already! Its tan tartan coat, which was spotted on the feeds of many a fashion influencer and priced at just £25, flew off the rails in no time. But never fear, because the bargain chain store has brought out a new version in bright mustard – and it's giving us serious Cher-from-Clueless vibes.

We predict this gorge coat will be a sell-out!

The brand posted an image on its Instagram feed of the jacket hung from a hook, accessorised with a white leather handbag and a pair of black and white lace-up sneakers. The mustard, black and red tartan pattern is almost identical to that worn by Alicia Silverstone's character in the classic 90s film. In the famous opening scene, Cher is seen selecting the outfit using a computer programme. Primark’s version is a longer length while Cher wore a waist-length jacket, but there's still no mistaking that classic 90s look.

And the brand's followers agreed, with many leaving comments on the post saying how much it reminded them of the iconic look. One wrote: "Reminds me of Clueless" and another added: "Cher from Clueless!" Another fan wrote: "I love this coat" and one simply commented: "I need this!"

It's the latest in a series of fashion mega-hits from the brand. It recently released a lookalike version of Kurt Geiger's cult rainbow Kensington bag. The bag almost caused the KG website to crash after it launched last year and there was a growing waiting list of over 1000 people desperate to get their hands on the cheerful design. Primark's version boasts the same striped design in a metallic finish, a delicate chain strap and even a large gold lion emblem on the front – but costs just £8 rather than £199.
