Those who crave comfort will be thrilled to learn that baggy jeans are making their grand comeback right about now. Skinnies have been long-gone for a while, and we've even hit pause on our once-devout commitment to the straight-leg – the loose-fit 1990s favourite is having something of a major resurgence, and we're 100% here for it.
As it turns out, the skater boys had it right all along – baggy jeans can be super flattering, especially during the transition period between winter and spring when layering is high up on our sartorial agenda.
How to style baggy jeans
When the air is only marginally biting, it's time for those ultra-low-rise styles to take centre stage. Get some extra wear out of that pair you were rocking with micro tops and bralettes this spring, and style it with a long-sleeved bodysuit or a cardigan buttoned only at the top and chunky glossy loafers – we can't get enough of styles by Alexander Wang, Casadei and Gucci.
On parkier days you'll need something slightly more heavy-duty to see you through. Boxy fluffy jackets, cosy polo necks and oversized blazers will stand you in excellent stead and when it comes to footwear, we love that Emily Ratajkowski is still making full use of her cowboy boots, tucking the tops of her light-wash baggy jeans into the tops of them to give off an authentic Western vibe.
