HRH Princess Beatrice of York looked the picture of effortless chic on Thursday as she attended the premiere of new film Confetti at BAFTA in London.

Following her younger sister's stylish appearance at the Grand Palais Ephemere for the Paris+ Par Art Basel, Beatrice enjoyed her own solo outing in the UK capital.

The mother-of-one delivered a masterclass in autumn layering as she stepped out on the red carpet in a grey brushed wool and cashmere-blend maxi coat and a classic black midi dress.

Featuring a timeless double-breasted design, her coat paired sturdy black buttons alongside an earthy stone-grey base shade. Created by British luxury label Burberry, the royal's choice of outerwear was the brand's 'Trentwood' design.

With its ruffle pocket details, the classic piece paired perfectly alongside Beatrice's understated black midi dress which featured a central V-neck cut-out detail.

Looking suitably elegant for the occasion, Beatrice supported the release of Confetti, a film which deals with a subject that is personal to the princess.

The picture tells the story of a Chinese family battling to support their daughter with her education following her dyslexia diagnosis. Aiming to dismiss pre-conceptions surrounding the condition, Confetti is released in UK cinemas today.

Beatrice herself has dyslexia, and in an interview with HELLO! last year, she spoke about the stigma that is associated with dyslexia.

"Honestly, what inspired me to talk about dyslexia the way that I have, is because I really want to change the narrative around the diagnosis," she explained.

"And I think just shifting the narrative a little bit towards something that is positive, that is impactful, I think can really help everyone."
