Emily Ratajkowski is the latest famous face to give a shorter crop a try, joining the likes of Hailey Bieber and Jenna Ortega, who are currently rocking a super sleek box bob and a shaggy lob respectively.
The supermodel looked almost unrecognisable at Marc Jacobs' Fall 2023 show as she debuted a dramatic new hairstyle. She traded in her usual mid-length tresses in favour of a look that felt sharper, exuding some unmistakably Amélie-esque energy.
Indulging her Francophile tendencies, Emily opted for a jaw-length French bob in a super dark brown shade, featuring a short, choppy fringe.

"The French bob is great on textured or wavy hair, it's a precision cut that gets its personality from being worn with your natural messy texture," Tom explains. "Very wash-and-wear, it's a super low-maintenance style, but does need to be trimmed every six weeks. Committing to regular hair appointments means you save time on the day-to-day styling of your hair because the strong haircut simply falls into place."
It is currently unclear as to whether Emily actually bade au revoir to her longer locks, or whether her new look is merely a temporary hair update. Australian supermodel Shanina Shaik recently revealed a brand new bob when she attended the Givenchy Menswear show on 18 January. Her hairstylist Eduardo Bravo told Hello! Fashion at the time, “Shanina’s haircut is actually a long wig that I cut to her mid-neck with bangs just touching the brow.”
Irrespective of how long Emily’s 'do is set to last, there's no denying that the French bob looks incredible on her. From showing off bone structure to offering respite from a laboured blow dry routine, the style presents plenty of potential beauty benefits.

Emily may have opted for a shorter hair length, but her style game experienced no shortfall. The supermodel amped up the drama in a fur-trimmed brown bomber jacket, central zip detail trousers and a sheer tan-coloured top, radiating her trademark supermodel energy as she rubbed shoulders with the likes of Ashley Graham and Nicky Hilton Rothschild.
