We’re almost certain you didn’t expect to see Rihanna and the Princess of Wales in the same sentence today. The Run This Town singer’s hotly anticipated Halftime Super Bowl performance is only two days away, and after her press conference interview with Halftime Show sponsor Apple Music last night, the world cannot contain its excitement.

The 36-year-old schooled us on wearing grey animal print, wearing a reptilian printed number with major thigh high splits. The look courtesy of Alaia was paired with a shearling-trimmed cropped biker jacket that she wore off the shoulder. The whole ensemble was ‘look 33’ from the Tunisian-born brand’s SS23 ready to wear collection.

RiRi put on a daring display with the asymmetrical hemline, but the reptilian drama didn’t stop there. She paired the look with some extreme wraparound snake-print heels that reached up to her thighs, accentuating her curves and joining the outfit together.

The Italian brand is famous for its classic court pumps, staple strappy sandals and of course, the princess’ brown suede knee high boots that she sports on a regular occasion.

Royal sartorial stan website katemiddletonstyle.org estimates she owns at least 14 pairs of shoes from the designer.

RiRi has rocked Gianvito ample times before, but never a style as daring as this. Clearly, she had to ensure her legendary comeback was channelled through her sartorial agenda, alongside her epic social media uploads.

In the interview she dropped hints about what to expect in Sunday’s show explaining: “You’re trying to cram 17 years of work into 13 minutes, so it’s difficult. Some songs we have to lose because of that… but I think we did a good job of narrowing it down.” She continued: “there are probably about 39 versions of the set list right now. Every little change counts.”

I think we’re all in agreement that we’d happily sit through all 39…
