When Victoria Beckham wears anything other than her signature all-black ensembles we take note. A big part of her sartorial reputation which has cemented her status as a bonafide style muse, is due to her constantly nailing Parisian It-girl approved colour palettes; think jet black, neutrals, and plenty of navy.

These hues make up the majority of her effortlessly chic looks both on the red carpet and off-duty. Of course there's always plenty of colour running through her eponymous label's designs, but Victoria wearing them herself only happens from time to time. We discussed the importance of VB wearing colour just yesterday when she wore a lime green dress to a wedding in Miami.

Yesterday the 49-year-old, who celebrated her birthday in style at Ciprani’s in Miami with David, Brooklyn, Nicola PeltzCruz and Harper on Monday, uploaded a video to her Instagram story giving us a full view of her spring party guest fit.

“So we are just getting ready to go out to a party” she explained. “Loving my new dress and my mini chain pouch”

The former Spice Girl wore the Spiral Seam Bias Dress from her eponymous label’s SS23 collection. The whimsical, classy design boasted a slinky silhouette, a daring low cut back and flattering ruffles across the body and arms. Clearly perfect for any occasion, she also wore the pastel pink version of the maxi dress to Marc Anthony and Nadia Ferriera's wedding in February.

Whatever she’s wearing: rain or shine, winter or summer, coat and pantaboots or midi skirt and heels, it’s rare she’s spotted without her beloved chain pouch (though she opted for a major fringe bag last week and quite frankly, we’re obsessed with it).

Again, from her eponymous collection, the bag is pretty much an extension of Victoria. It epitomises her sophisticated style with a flap fastening and her name delicately carved into the nappa leather. A gold chain strap at the front is the signature detailing that makes the bag distinguishable,  inspired by one of her vintage watch straps.

A black bag is suitable all year round, but, as we say, if Victoria switches out her monochromatic agenda for colour, we listen. She opted for Princess Kate’s favourite styling hack and championed tonal dressing, pairing her lilac dress with a matching chain pouch in the same colour.

We can’t get enough of spring/summer VB.
