Sure, we have Van Morrison holding the fort for brown-eyed girls, yet there’s no denying that there is a serious lack of appreciation for inky irises.
Over the years, I’ve trained myself to love my darker features. One way of doing so involves knowing how to accentuate them. From the right eyebrow pencils to the best mascaras on the market, there are ample ways to make your brown eyes pop. “When wanting to make brown eyes pop, it really depends on whether you want to bring out warmth or create contrast. For example, colours such as plum, mauve, navy and emerald create contrast and will make the eye look lighter and brighter. “A technique that can really make brown eyes pop, or any eye colour in fact, is using a waterliner on your lower waterline. In this case, a plum or mauve shade would really help to accentuate brown eyes, as the shade is close to the colour of your iris, making eyes appear brighter and more defined.
However, if you're looking to enhance the natural warmth of brown eyes, shades such as bronze, copper and rich golds are the perfect choice. Try the Sparklestik in shades Princess Teddy/ Faux Bot and Glitterpill in the shade Money Plz. These will really enhance the golden and amber tones in brown eyes."
