She is "good at that posh, goofy thing that Englishmen find strangely attractive", wrote one reporter of Daisy, who first found fame asking excruciatingly embarrassing questions to big political names as the Angel of Delight on The 11 O'Clock Show a programme which also spawned talents like Ali G and Ricky Gervais. Daughter of the late fashion photographer Terence Donovan and his second wife Diana a confidante of the Princess of Wales Daisy had a privileged upbringing. Educated at St Paul's Girls School and Edinburgh University she spent a year at Lamda before winning a job as a researcher on the show that made her famous. Acting roles since have included a recurring part on Zoe Wannamaker series My Family in 2000, playing the kooky love interest in Millions and a part in 2007 farce Death At A Funeral. She became known in the US with her 2005 series Daisy Does America and has also turned her hand to screenplay writing, with comedy Wild Child. In 2005 she married Ali G producer Dan Mazer in Morocco.
