After stints working as a pig farmer and a factory inspector, Leeds-born James Roderick Moir who changed his name to Vic Reeves after his favourite singers Vic Damone and Jim Reeves met future comedy partner, solicitor Bob Mortimer, while performing in London. Joining forces, the duo made their TV debut on a show hosted by Jonathan Ross in 1989, before landing a slot on Channel 4 the following year with their series Big Night Out. Their surreal brand of comedy proved a hit and the pair went on to star in a vast number of shows together, including Shooting Stars, The Smell Of Reeves And Mortimer and Randall & Hopkirk (Deceased). As a solo performer, Vic has branched out into various other fields, earning a number one single with the song Dizzy, presenting historical series Vic Reeves Examines and taking over from Richard Hammond as the main presenter of Brainiac. Father to Alice since 1993 and Louis since 1997, from his first marriage to Sarah Vincent, the comedian met his second wife, model Nancy Sorrell, in 2001. After tying the knot two years later, Kent-based Vic and Nancy who headed into the jungle together for I'm A Celebrity... welcomed twin girls, Elizabeth and Nell, in May 2006.
