Royal bride Tatiana Santo Domingo wanted to marry in Gstaad because it holds so many fond memories of her school days. The wife of Andrea Casiraghi attended the prestigious Institut Le Rosey, which has a winter campus in Gstaad and has educated numerous royals and future kings.

Le Rosey, which is nicknamed "the school of kings", is said to be the most expensive school in the world – in 2011/2012, annual boarding and academic fees were estimated at £89,000.
Switzerland is renowned for attracting the rich and famous. Diana, Princess of Wales attended the Alpin Videmanette finishing school in Rougement, while her late partner Dodi Fayed attended Le Rosey.
Andrea Casiraghi’s grandfather Prince Ranier III of Monaco is another former Le Rosey pupil. "The students were much friendlier because they were from such diverse, international backgrounds," he said. "I felt, for once in my childhood, that I could take a breath."
Le Rosey, whose main campus is based in Rolle, Switzerland, was founded in 1880 and prides itself on its strong support system. The teacher-pupil ration is 1:5 and students are taught to have "respect for oneself and for others, the right degree of discipline, the courage to face difficulties, and the willpower to overcome them."
